Personal Information Protection Policy
Institute for International Monetary Affairs (hereafter "IIMA") collects personal information of our customers in providing our services. IIMA will comply with laws and regulations regarding the proper handling of customers' personal information.
1.Acquiring personal information
IIMA will acquire personal information properly.
2.Using personal information
IIMA will notify and/or disclose the purpose of such personal information to customers as follows. And IIMA will not use it beyond the disclosed purpose except as permitted by the law.
(1) To send some documents and/or reply to the inquiries and/or comments
(2) To provide information of Seminar, Symposiums and Workshops
(3) To provide information regarding IIMA's activities
(4) To send notices of meetings of the Board of Directors, Board of Councilors, and various other events
(5) Operations incidental to the above purposes.
3.Securities of personal information
IIMA will take necessary and appropriate measures to ensure the security of personal information and will endeavor to prevent loss and/or leakage of personal information.
4.Outsourcing of personal information
When IIMA will outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to third parties, IIMA will monitor the parties' concerned to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to protect customers' personal information.
5.Supplying personal information to third parties
Except in the following cases, IIMA will not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the individual concerned.
(1) When required by law
(2) When disclosure is necessary for the protection of life, health, or property of an individual (including the property of IIMA) and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
(3) Cases in which the disclosure of personal information is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
(4) In cases when it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local public body, or a party entrusted by either of the foregoing, in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and where obtaining the consent of the individual may impede the execution of said affairs.
6.Correcting and disclosing personal information
At the request of the relevant person, IIMA will disclose personal information to the person. In this case, if we cannot confirm the identity of the person, we will not disclose the personal information.
If there is an error in the content of personal information, and the person in question requests correction, addition, deletion, notification of the purpose of use, or cessation of use or deletion, IIMA will check and promptly respond to such requests.
In this case, we will not respond to the request if we cannot confirm the identity of the person. When making such requests of disclosure, please enclose a document that confirms that the requesting applicant is the person in question or has the right of representation from the applicant.

7.Organization and Structure
IIMA assigns the General Manager of the General Affairs Department to be the Personal Information Management Officer and will implement appropriate management and continuous improvement of personal information.
8.Update of this policy
This privacy policy is subject to change without prior notice due to the amendment of applicable laws and/or ordinances, changes in the policies of IIMA. The amended privacy policy will be effective when it is placed on this website.
